Leadership Team

John has worked in resource sector for over 30 years maintaining several Sales & Management positions with formal qualifications in Business Management, Project Management and OCC Health & Safety. John purchased a partnership in Prochem Agencies Pty Ltd and some time later took full ownership of the business. In 2007 Prochem Haulage Pty Ltd commenced operation and following a period of sustained growth all business units were rebranded under the Prochem Group banner. John is Managing Director of all unities operating within the Prochem Group and John his wife Selina and both sons Ben and Davydd work within the organisation.

Prochem’s General Manager is Ben Colvin, John and Selina’s eldest son. Ben is a qualified Heavy Vehicle Truck Mechanic and Auto Electrician. Ben is extremely passionate about the transport industry and sits on the board for Queensland Trucking Association.

Tim has worked for Prochem for 5 years as the Operations Manager overseeing the hydraulic division of the Prochem workshop. Tim is a qualified MEM Fitter with a strong passion for Hydraulics working in the industry for over 15 years. He is currently studying an advanced diploma of engineering to assist in the certification to modifications and rebuilds of hydraulic systems.

Micheal has worked for Prochem for the last 21 years and has been involved in mining for about 15 years, His role in Prochem is Operations Co-ordinator for all the mining trucks to deliver grease throughout the Bowen Basin. He is also a qualified highway trucks Diesel Fitter.

Nerissa has over 10 years experience working within the transport industry and has worked for Prochem for over four years as the General Logistics Co-ordinator. Her roles involve managing Prochem’s general freight including deliveries within the Bowen Basin and Mackay-Brisbane line haul operations. After graduating year 12 Nerissa completed further studies including Certificates in Business Administration, Business Management and Fatigue Risk Management and has worked in various management roles for over 30 years. Nerissa is passionate about her position at Prochem and endeavours to keep building Prochem’s customer base. When Nerissa is not working, she enjoys her time with her family, her various animals and pottering around her hobby farm.

Paul has worked in the mining industry within the Bowen Basin region for over 20 years, covering various roles including on-site machinery breakdown work, product supply, logistics and operations management. His role for Prochem encompasses dealing directly with end users on-site, supplying goods and services that meet and exceed customers’ expectations and facilitating solutions for non-standard applications. Paul has vast experience supplying products from industry leading OEM’s and works closely with them to ensure the right product is supplied for the intended application. Paul is also heavily involved in generating new business with existing customers and building functioning relationships with new clientele. Outside of working hours Paul enjoys motorcycle riding, camping and fishing.
